Discharge and velocity variation of flows in open channels partially covered with different layered vegetation

The role of vegetation in the natural environment has drawn great interest recently. can change velocity distribution due to its additional resistance on flow, consequently affecting nutrient and pollutant transport, habitats. Due complexity flow interaction, many previous researchers have studied structure channels with uniform vegetation. Few studies been done open partially covered different heights one side channel, which commonly exists rivers. Through novel experiments for such a vegetated this paper shows influence layered profile discharge, indicates that zone is significantly smaller than free-flow profiles short tall zones are very different. through dominant (about 75%) despite half width, discharge percentage slightly decreases as increasing depth.
